Jean-Michel Basquiat Seiko Watch (2000) Rare Limited Edition. Rare, limited edition (of 1000) Jean-Michel Basquiat Seiko Watch. Released in 2000 with the approval of the Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat and in close collaboration with the artist's father, Gerard Basquiat as part of a collaboration between the estate, Japanese art gallery Galerie Sho Contemporary in Tokyo, and the Seiko watch company. This piece is a quartz analogue wristwatch with a Basquiat designed dial + resin strap, held in the original custom-designed box, bearing a label with the edition number of 432/1000 which is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity bearing the Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat blindstamp. This piece was published by Galerie Sho Contemporary Art (Tokyo) designed by Makoto Saito Design Studio (Tokyo) and manufactured by Seiko Corporation.

The watch is new and is in the original packaging. The box has been opened only for the purpose of photographing the watch.

There are two small cracks on the watch (possibly caused by impact damage in transit and quite common with these watches) and a small tear to the back of the box. Details of the damage are shown in the photographs.
