Jonas Wood 21 Transparancies Zine. 21 Transparencies is based on transparencies that Jonas Wood drew on over the past 10 years. In his practice, Wood often draws on transparencies before projecting and tracing these drawings onto paper, canvas or linen. This process allows him to first simplify images into less complicated shapes, and then reassemble them into new compositions. Wood has been the subject of solo exhibitions at the Dallas Museum of Art (2019); Museum Voorlinden, Wassenaar, the Netherlands (with Shio Kusaka, 2017); Lever House, New York (2014); and Hammer Museum, Los Angeles (2010). He lives and works in Los Angeles.
