Rare vintage ceramic figure by Ted Balkwill from the Lindsey B studio

  

This authentic sculpture is one of sixteen figures created in 1990 by Ted Balkwill at the Lindsey B studio in London. Referencing Lindsey B's'Rick and Rachael', the characters reflect popular culture in the latter half of the twentieth century. Twelve of the figures were licensed for production in ceramic and, of those, seven were then re-sculpted as half-height miniatures.

These were reproduced in polymer resin, adopting the technology used to produce the Lindsey B Neoplastic collection. This model is ceramic with a black silk glaze and measures 41cm high and 19cm across the shoulders. Recovered directly from the Lindsey B studio, it is unused, and the condition is as new.
